DR. Stephen Eichelsdorfer

Dr. Stephen Eichelsdorfer, DPM (Dr. Ike) is a podiatric physician and surgeon with offices in Kingwood, Atascocita and Livingston, Texas.  He has extensive training and experience in all areas of his specialty including the most current endoscopic, arthroscopic and laser techniques.  He provides patient care in a personalized and compassionate environment.


Dr. Eichelsdorfer received his graduate degree from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois in 1991.  He then completed two years of surgical residency at the VAMC in Temple, Texas an the Podiatric Foundation of Houston , Texas.  Dr. Eichelsdorfer is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Diplomate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.  He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Texas Podiatric Medical Association and the Harris County Podiatric Medical Society.

Dr. Samuel S. Mendicino

West, southwest, central Houston

Dr. Samuel S. Mendicino is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he received a B.S. in Biological Sciences. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1983 from the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago where he served as the student body vice president. He completed a residency in foot and ankle surgery at the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency and was the chief resident during his last year. Dr. Mendicino has been in practice since 1985 and is board certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He has served on the Board of Directors, Credentials committee, Overall Exam Chair, President-Elect and as an examiner for the ABPS. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, serves on several of the College's committees, and has served as the chairman of it's annual national scientific seminar. Dr. Mendicino is the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at West Houston Medical Center.


Dr. Mendicino is the director of residency and fellowship training of the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency and it's Fellowship in Reconstructive Ankle and Foot Surgery. He is a past president of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association and has published in several scientific texts and journals. Dr. Mendicino is active in international education and has performed surgery or lectured to orthopedic and trauma surgeons in Germany, Austria, Italy, and Lebanon. He lectures regularly at local, state, national and international surgical conferences. In addition to performing elective, traumatic, arthroscopic, endoscopic, pediatric, and reconstructive surgery of the ankle and foot, Dr. Mendicino provides non-surgical care. Recently, Dr Mendicino has added lower extremity nerve decompression to his practice. This may alleviate the symptoms of lower extremity peripheral neuropathy.


Dr. Mendicino's hobbies include hunting and fishing and he enjoys traveling and spending time with his kids.

Dr. Robert Moore graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a bachelor’s in physiology. He completed his medical education at California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Mateo and completed his internship and residency training at the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Houston.


Board certified in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Moore has been in practice since 1993 treating patients of all ages.  He specializes in delivering care for a wide variety of complex foot and ankle disorders, reconstructive and cosmetic procedures and sports injuries. His clinical interests include ankle arthroscopic procedures, arch pain, fungal and ingrown toenails, bunions, calluses, pediatric foot problems, corn removal, diabetic foot care, fractures, geriatrics and hammertoe surgery.


Dr. Moore’s patient philosophy is to listen to each patient and offer them treatment options ranging from open discussion to conservative treatment and surgery. He considers each patient’s unique issues and aims to make their experience as pleasant as possible. His patient’s say he’s known for his bedside manner and caring staff members who speak Spanish.


Dr. Moore has authored articles printed in medical journals and teaches surgical techniques to residents.

Dr. Mark Sands

Dr. Mark Sands has been practicing in the Bay area since 1990 as a Podiatrist, specializing in disorders of the foot and ankle, including bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, sports injuries, reconstructive flatfoot surgery, trauma, and congenital deformities.  Dr. Sands is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine and completed residency training from the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program.


An extreme sports enthusiast, Dr. Sands enjoys kite boarding, wake boarding, and paragliding. Dr. Sands also has his private pilot's license. He has utilized his pilot's license by participating in Fantasy Kids which is an organization aimed at helping sick and disabled children.


Dr. Sands is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
